e-Notices
The e-Notices service will notify you by e-mail about reserves you have placed, overdue items, and other things. Below are the kinds of notice you will receive if you sign up for e-Notices.
- Courtesy Notices
- A courtesy notice is a notification that something is going to be due soon. You will receive a courtesy notice the day before an item is due.
- Overdue Notices
- You'll receive up to two overdue notices by e-mail. For 3- and 7-day loans, you'll get notices 2 and 7 days after the due date; for everything else you'll get notices 7 and 14 days after.
- Reserve Pickup Notices
- After you sign up for e-Notices, you will receive an e-mail when an item you have placed on reserve is available for you to pick up.
- Reserve Cancellation Notices
- You will receive a notice when either (1) the pickup date has passed on a reserved item that was being held for you, (2) a reserve you placed a while back never became available, or (3) an item you requested through SearchOhio was not available.
- Statement of Account
- Every 3 months the library will send a statement of account to every patron who owes $5 or more. This will let you know about charges that you may have forgotten about or of which you may not be aware. (You can also check your account any time at www.CuyahogaFallsLibrary.org/myaccount).
How to Sign Up
There are three ways to sign up for e-Notices:
- Log into your account on the web (at www.CuyahogaFallsLibrary.org/myaccount) and enter your e-mail address into your record.
- Go to the Circulation Desk in the library.
- Call the library at 330-928-2117 (ask for Circulation).
Your Privacy is Important to Us
These e-mail notices contain confidential information (your name and the titles of items you have checked out). Please keep this in mind if you use an e-mail account to which others have access.
How to Ensure that you Receive the e-Notices
Sometimes when an e-mail provider (such as AOL, Hotmail, Verizon, etc.) receives a large number of messages at the same time from a single address, the messages may be marked as spam and deleted. If you're not receiving the e-Notices that you should, or if you want to protect against this happening to you, just add the following e-mail address to your address book: circadm@catalog.CuyahogaFallsLibrary.org
