Position Summary: Circulation Services Clerk I’s must provide excellent public service, quickly and accurately charging items in and out for library customers. Other responsibilities include taking and processing patron registrations, performing various clerical tasks in connection with the maintenance of circulation records; operating and maintaining equipment, including computers, printers, cash registers, security devices, typewriters, etc.; moving and handling books and other library materials, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent experience and training
- Ability to work competently, courteously, and cheerfully with the public and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
- General computer skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Clerical skills, including typing
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move books and other library material, transporting those materials using a book truck and/or book bin
- Ability to use a cash register
- Familiarity with Windows and other software
- Detail-oriented; flexible, optimistic personality
- Reliable, conscientious, self-motivated, strong work ethic

Position Summary
Works with customers in Children’s Services, providing information and reader’s advisory service in person and over the telephone; assists and instructs the public in the use of the library’s collection and equipment, including the use of the catalog and the internet; plans and conducts children’s programs and displays; assists in the development of the children’s collection; preschool outreach when needed; other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cuyahoga Falls Library is searching for an Assistant Technology Coordinator (ATC) to help lead the library to increased technological efficiency, sophistication, and public service. The ATC will help plan and coordinate all of the Library’s technological services; help monitor the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the library’s computer network; assist in the maintenance of the Library’s network and its hardware; and help train staff and patrons in the use of library technology. The ATC is a member of the union and reports to the Technology Coordinator.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or professional certification and equivalent experience
- Experience managing workstations and servers in an Active Directory enabled Windows domain
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Linux/Unix, and scripting; TCP/IP networking, including wireless
- Experience with firewalls, hardware diagnosis and repair, and a broad range of software, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to stay abreast of technological changes and willingness to adjust job duties accordingly
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Skill and experience in training others to use the latest technology
